Live your experience in Kenya

You’ll have the chance to plant mangroves alongside the local community, connect with the Mijikenda tribe and their ancestral traditions, watch dolphins in their natural habitat, and stay in one of the savannah’s most exclusive lodges.

Your experience will be personally coordinated by Serena, an Italian based in Watamu.

Accommodation is provided in a beachfront hotel with an in-house restaurant, and your adventures will be expertly arranged by Discovery Kenya with Hal Africa Tours & Safaris—an award-winning local agency recognized on TripAdvisor.

The Program

Day 1 – Unwind and explore the local markets with a tuk-tuk tour.

Day 2 – Set off at 9:00 AM for a full day at sea aboard a traditional dhow, featuring a fresh fish barbecue, snorkeling along the coral reef, and dolphin spotting.

Day 3 – Early departure at 6:00 AM for a safari adventure in Tsavo East National Park, with an overnight stay at Voi Wildlife Lodge.

Day 4 – Continue your safari through Tsavo East and Taita Hills parks, with an overnight at the iconic Sarova Salt Lick Lodge. (Optional: night safari available for booking on site.)

Day 5 – Enjoy a final game drive in Taita Hills before returning to Watamu in the evening.

Day 6 – Relax in the morning, then visit Malindi and nearby attractions in the afternoon, ending with a sunset view at the stunning Marafa Canyon.

Day 7 – Depart at 9:00 AM for a guided bike tour and cultural immersion with the Giriama tribe. Enjoy a free afternoon, followed by a 6:30 PM cooking class and traditional African dinner.

Day 8 – Free day with optional activities depending on your departure time from Mombasa.
